your work is very impressive. a jazz musician is a rather difficult subject--particularly someone like Billie who has so much emotion in each and every inch of her being. Great work here.

If you're looking around for another jazz subject, why not try someone like Dizzy Gillespie? Those cheeks of his should be fun to work with. And there's always Pops himself, Mr. Armstrong!

hmm...i agree with you on everything, but the first part. In my experience, you don't want to play a bunch of music that no one has heard of or cares about. The best way to get your friends to listen to new artists, is to mix a song or two in with popular artists.

I really do enjoy the armadillo, especially the details, close up. And I do appreciate the longhorn more with color. Damn that truth serum! I love all the birds and fruit. I want a pineapple for my kitchen. But I need a set of three so I need to peruse your other fruit. I like the writing here....your critical sis.

honestly, the "archival pigment print" is more in line with how the media would be listed say in ... a gallery. One would list the title, date, media (in this case - archival pigment print - you can add 'on such and such paper' if more specifics were wanted), size (always height by width), and then the edition size, or the specific number in the edition that the particular piece is (edition of 100 - or 78/100 for example.) You wouldn't ever see anything listed as an 'art print' - that its art is a given. That is how it would work in a physical gallery, I'm not sure if and how that applies to etsy - its a different and probably wider range of people, many of whom may need or want to be told that what they're looking at is art. I'm not making a value judgement and I hope it doesn't come across as that - I'm saying that different rules may apply.

A smaller edition is more appealing. People like to feel that they're getting somethign exclusive - something special. If you had people hunting you down on the street desperate to get a sold out print then you could change it slightly - make it a different color or something and begin a new edition - and raise the price. :)

I like #27. The thing I have found about artists (myself included) is that we are usually not first and foremost business minded people. That is why we call ourselves "artists" and not business owners. The funny thing is, unless you're going to call art a hobby then you are very much a business person and you'd better start learning how to do it effectively.
